About the MESPOM Program
MESPOM stands for Master of Environmental Sciences Policy and Management. It is offered by four leading universities in Europe. The program prepares students to solve real environmental problems and to design solutions for a sustainable world. It combines theory, practice and research. Since 2005 the MESPOM program has trained students from all over the world. Many graduates now work in research universities, government NGOs and international organizations such as the United Nations.

Program Structure
The MESPOM program has a unique mobility path. Students move across different universities and countries each semester:
Year 1
- Fall and Winter: Central European University (Vienna, Austria)
Year 2
- Fall Semester: Choose between Lund University (Sweden) or University of Manchester (UK)
- Spring Semester: University of the Aegean (Greece)
Summer Internship:
Students take part in a supervised internship with support from MESPOM faculty.
Final Thesis:
The thesis can be completed at any partner institution depending on the student’s interest and research topic.
This mobility gives students a real international learning experience in four different academic and cultural environments.

Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the Erasmus Mundus MESPOM Scholarship 2026 students must:
- Hold a Bachelor degree in environmental sciences, policy management or related fields such as engineering, social sciences or natural sciences.
- Have a strong academic record preferably with a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
- Show motivation and interest in environmental and sustainability issues.
- Provide proof of English language skills such as IELTS or TOEFL.
- Applicants from any nationality can apply.
If you have a degree in another field you can still apply if you have relevant work or volunteer experience in environmental topics.

Admission is highly competitive and based on academic excellence, professional experience, and motivation.
