The Erasmus Mundus MEDfOR is a 2 year joint master’s program for students who want to become experts in sustainable forestry and natural resources management in Mediterranean regions. You learn how to balance economic, ecological and social aspects of forest management while addressing challenges like climate change, biodiversity loss and rural development. The program mixes science, engineering, management and practical fieldwork to train future leaders in Mediterranean forestry. You study in at least two different European countries at six partner universities. Study Path and Mobility

1. Year 1 – University of Lleida (Spain) or University of Lisbon (Portugal) Core foundational courses in forest science and management.
2. Year 2 – Choose specialization at another partner university Advanced modules in areas such as Integrated Fire Management, Environmental Economics, Adaptive Forestry, or other Mediterranean-specific topics.
3. Semester 4 – One of the consortium universities or partner institution Master’s thesis with possible fieldwork or internship.

Students must study in at least two different countries.

• Good academic record.
